IPNLF Pole and Line Certification
The International Pole & Line Foundation (IPNLF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and management of responsible fisheries. Its primary focus is on supporting pole-and-line and handline tuna fisheries, which are known for their low environmental impact and contribution to local communities. IPNLF's certification program offers assurance of sustainability and traceability, ensuring that certified products come from well-managed sources that do not contribute to overfishing.
Sustainable Tuna Certification
The South African Tuna Association (SATA) was formed as a non-profit organisation in 1985 by a group of pole-and-line tuna vessel owners. It is one of the oldest and longest standing South African registered industrial bodies, in terms of the Marine Living Resources Act. Today, the Association represents some 75 local pole-and-line vessel owners and operators.
MSC Hake Certification

It ensures that Hake is caught using environmentally responsible longline methods, minimizing bycatch and preserving marine ecosystems. This certification underscores our commitment to sustainable fishing practices and the responsible stewardship of ocean resources. It assures consumers that our Hake products are sourced from fisheries that prioritize ecological balance, supporting the health of marine habitats while providing high-quality, sustainably harvested seafood.
